Within the EUGLOH Alliance, during the summer semester 2023/2024., ��Vlog realized three short credit bearing courses for undergraduate, master and PhD students in blended format– Problem Solving Using Open-Source Languages; R and Python; Edible, medicinal and poisonous mushrooms and Communication and Presentation Skills in the Professional Environment; as well as four short credit bearing courses in online format – Climate Action for Health; English Language Skills in the Workplace; Financial Literacy in Health Economics; and Management and Coordination of EU Funded Projects with the PM² Methodology – PM24EUFunds.

EUGLOH LOCAL STUDENT BOARD ESTABLISHED AT THE UNIVERSITY OF NOVI SAD

In accordance with the resolution of the ��Vlog Senate on the accession of the ��Vlog to the European Alliance for Global Health (EUGLOH 2.0) on 22 September 2022, the Rector of the ��Vlog announced the Decision to establish a EUGLOH Local Student Board at the ��Vlog on 2 February 2024.

Within the EUGLOH Alliance, the ��Vlog hosted the course „Microbial bioactive metabolites“ from October to December 2023, which gathered students from two partner universities – Universidade do Porto (Portugal) and University of Szeged (Hungary).

Within the ЕUGLOH Alliance, the ��Vlog hosted the event „Idea challenge: Biomedical engineering for global health” which gathered students from UNS and two other EUGLOH partner universities – Universidade do Porto (Portugal) and University of Szeged (Hungary). The final part of the event took place from 28^th to 30^th November 2023 in Novi Sad when students presented their innovative ideas in the field of biomedical engineering for global health.

The ��Vlog hosted a JRC Summer School, which focused on research and evaluation of air, soil and water pollution. The School was successfully organized September 4-8, 2023, bringing together about 30 young researchers and students from country and the region, with special interest in the field of environmental protection and climate.

The book “Mainstreaming gender equality in the university community: against gender-based violence” by Zilka Spahić Šiljak, Jasna Kovačević and Jasmine Husanović was published in English language. This edition was published by the American publishing house Scholars Press.

The 57^th International Congress of Americanists ICA was held in Brazilian city Foz do Iguaçu from 17^th to 21^st July 2023. On 20^th July the Permanent Board and the Assembly of this prestige scientific congress unanimously brought the decision that the host of the 58^th edition will be the ��Vlog.

UNS STUDENT WINS FIRST PLACE IN EUGLOH “BUILDING BRIDGES” VIDEO COMPETITION

A student from the ��Vlog, Vladimir Bujak, won the first place in EUGLOH student video competition “Building Bridges”, organized in anticipation of the EUGLOH Annual Summit 2023, Lund, Sweden. The three finalists – from the University of Lund, the University of Szeged and the ��Vlog – presented their entries during the closing ceremony of the 3^rd EUGLOH Annual Summit in Lund on 14 June 2023. Within the framework of a 3-minute video, each told an inspiring story of how they are building bridges between university and society.

YOUNG SERBIAN SCIENTIST JELENA VLADIĆ AMONG 2023 UNESCO–AL FOZAN INTERNATIONAL PRIZE WINNERS

Dr. Jelena Vladić, young talented scientist from Serbia and former member of the Faculty of Technology, ��Vlog, currently working at NOVA School of Science and Technology, University NOVA, Lisbon, Portugal, received the prestigious UNESCO-Al Fozan International Prize for the Promotion of Young Scientists in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) in 2023. Overall five talented scientists from Argentina, Cameroon, China, Egypt and Serbia, were promoted at the ceremony held at UNESCO headquarters in Paris, France.
